Paul "O.J." Gibson - the old one - a.k.a. 'Uncle Albert'/'Jackanory'/'Pilkington Paul'

First we start with the band's ugliest member, and also the oldest. Whilst he won't reveal his age, we know he's getting Cold Weather payments, and we've had a glimpse of his bus pass... there's also a question over his nationality! Recruited by band owner Ricky, Paul joined GTB way back in 2003, joining what was then "New BadAss Groovers" and later "Big City Groovers." A veteran on the music scene, Gibbo's previous bands include Otis bladder, Whiticombe Fair, Scratch, Chalice, and Studz to name just a few. A versatile and skillful guitair player, one day he may be, however offstage Paul is a notorious womaniser, ladies watch out for this silver-tongued devil.

Oh and be warned: do NOT let him start talking about Whitesnake - if he does then change the subject quickly!

Mark Numan - the mad one - a.k.a. 'Trigger'

Next up, our resident clown - Mark is mad as a box of frogs! With various previous occupations such as miner and nurse (he can dig for coal or mop your brow!), Mark really is a jack of all trades, none more so than when tinkling the ivories. Our very own "Liberace" is often found playing sounds from his heroes such as Gary Numan ('Dad'), he has a real passion for music and in a previous band he supported Marillion. Mark is GTB's number 1 sound technician (a skill in itself), loves horsing around, and is the band's offical clown and only Love God. Although he has lived and performed in London & Spain, he knows his home is in sunny Yorkshire. If you're lucky, at a gig Marky will let you play with his massive organ..!

Oh and did we mentioned he was once reserve goal keeper for Blackburn Rovers!? Yeah, we saved the best fact for last!

Ricky James - the fat one - a.k.a. 'Pukka' or "Chubbs"

Athletic, handsome, generous... not words you ever hear associated with our Ricky. All bands have a fat drummer with floppy man boobs, and GTB are no exception...! Regularly seen dodging salads, our very own Ringo Starr is an accomplished drummer and no stranger to the music scene, having played with Otis Bladder, Kudos, Planet Earth and Total Recall in his 26 year career as a "nearly been". In 2000, Ricky joined the infamous "BadAss Groovers" which in 2003 disbanded & reformed with colleague Glenn "Stud" McAllen (aka Lionel Vinyl). Once Wayne "Simple" Simon & Paul "OJ" Gibson had been recruited, Rick oversaw a rollercoaster ride through one or two changes in name, lineup & management... under his leadership, to date GTB (formerly Big City Groovers) have performed some 900+ shows both at home and overseas. Ricky is also widely known for his role in Austin Powers, and in his spare time he likes to eat pies.

Carrie McCann - the fit one - a.k.a. 'Jugs'

We've saved the best for last! Bringing a fresh dimension to a band that has traditionally been fronted by male singers, the delectable Miss McCann has wowed audiences in the UK and abroad with her sweet yet powerful voice and presentation style. Aged only 29 and born and raised in Dartford in Kent, Carrie is the youngest and prettiest member of the band. Despite being so young, Carrie has been a very busy girl indeed, and music has been flowing through her veins since a very young age. At the age of only two she entertained many a family party with her rendition of Adam and the Ants “Stand and Deliver” before growing in age and beauty entertaining her dorm mates in an all girls school – nothing to do with music though!

Following school Carrie graduated from university with a degree in “Performing Arts” and went onto to perform at many leading cabaret venues and holiday parks throughout the UK. You may have also noticed her immaculate chest amongst the crowd in a rainy Albert Square during a brief appearance on Eastenders back in 2006, and again in 2004 when she was a bridesmaid in an episode of Grange Hill.

Her current day job brought her to Yorkshire, where she first met the boys of GTB, now living the dream of fronting her fave band Good Thinking Batman after a long period of stalking them from behind lighting rigs and bushes! Carrie’s long been a fan of the band since first working with them in a West End theatre production back in 2003.

This lady is simply something very special indeed. Not only does she leave her audiences breathless and begging for more, but the girl is one hell of a grafter off stage too. Her natural creativity and desire to be the best means the band are constantly updating the show with new music, interspersed with dance, costume and fresh humour.
